GLA:D Program for Osteoarthritis

Peak Sports physiotherapy is experienced in working to help people with hip and knee osteoarthritis.

The outcomes of GLA:D® program the can include less pain, reduced use of joint related pain killers, and less sick leave. GLA:D® participants also reported high levels of satisfaction with the program and increased levels of physical activity 12 months after starting the program.

     About Peak Sports Physiotherapy GLA:D Program   :


    • The program runs for about 6 weeks and consists of 12 supervised exercise classes and 2 education sessions.


    • The GLA:D program was created in Denmark, and research has shown that it is effective at reducing pain and improving quality of life.

      How Do I Start?

      To participate in the GLA:D program, you need to book an initial assessment with one of our physio’s. During this session, we will perform some outcome measures so we can measure your progress throughout the program. It also allows us to get an understanding of your goals so we can tailor the program to suit your needs.
