Frequently asked questions
Still have questions? Get in touch — we're happy to help.
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
No referral is needed to see one of our physiotherapists. You can book directly online or by calling either clinic. If you're claiming through a GP Management Plan (EPC), Medicare does require a referral from your GP — contact us if you're unsure.
Do you offer same-day appointments?
Yes — we do our best to accommodate same-day appointments at both our Wangaratta and Benalla clinics. Book online or call us and we'll find the earliest available time for you.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring any relevant imaging (X-rays, MRI, ultrasound reports), a list of any medications you're taking, and wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated. If you have a referral or care plan, bring that too.
Do you bulk bill?
We do not bulk bill. We accept Medicare EPC referrals, DVA Gold and White cards, and most private health insurance. We also see WorkSafe and TAC clients. Please contact us if you have questions about your specific coverage.
What is evidence-based physiotherapy?
Evidence-based practice means our assessment and treatment decisions are guided by the best available current research, combined with clinical experience and your individual goals. We don't rely on outdated techniques — we stay current so your care is effective and grounded in science.
Do you treat children and young athletes?
Yes. Our team has extensive experience working with junior athletes across a wide range of sports, from local clubs to elite programs. We tailor assessment and treatment to be age-appropriate and growth-aware.
Which clinic should I go to — Wangaratta or Benalla?
Both clinics offer the same high standard of care. Choose whichever is more convenient for you. Some services, such as isokinetic testing and running assessments, may only be available at a specific clinic — contact us to confirm.
How long will my recovery take?
Recovery timelines vary depending on the nature and severity of your condition, your overall health, and how consistently you engage with your treatment plan. At your first appointment, your physiotherapist will give you a realistic picture of what to expect and what you can do to support your progress.
